Description
Nankin blue and white sauce tureen and cover, Qianlong (1736-95), the body decorated with tropical flowers and foliage, the sides with applied boar's head handles, the cover with lotus, passion flowers and scrolling foliage within a broad band of scrolling cell-ground ruyi-heads, surmounted by a moulded finial in the shape of a frog.
