Very rare Chinese export blue and white teabowl and saucer, c.1770, both decorated with hunting hounds giving chase across a European landscape with stylised rockwork and woodland flowers; hills and a small hamlet visible in the background; the gilded rims with narrow bands of floral cell ground and four shaped cartouches.
Dimensions:
Diameter of saucer: 14cm. (5 1/2 in.)
Condition:
Teabowl: piece out of rim re-stuck with associated hairline; Saucer: hairline-crack to base
