Pair of Chinese famille rose teabowls and saucers, Yongzheng (1723-35), the saucers decorated with a central peony with four floral cartouches, all in bright enamels with a seeded-cell diaper border, the teacups similarly decorated with four peony-containing cartouches, within a seeded-cell diaper pattern and swirling lappet borders, the inside rim with a turquoise starred band and peonies to the bottom, diameter of saucers: 4 1/2in. (11.5cm.), diameter of teabowls: 2 3/4in. (7.2cm.), condition, one teabowl with chip to base, and one small frit to underside of one saucer. Provenance: with Bluett labels to base
