Indian bronze figure of a Goddess, probably Parvati, South India, 16th/17th century, standing intribhanga on a lotus base on a square plinth, her right hand raised in vitarka mudra with her left hand at her side, on her head a tiered headdress, with hoop earrings, ; condition: old repair to back of left arm. Provenance: Collection of the late Andrew Solomon, London, inv. no. A96. Purchased from Sotheby's London, 10th June 1985, lot 217.
