Description
Pair of Chinese famille rose chargers, Qianlong (1736-95), each decorated to the centre with a reserve panel with scrolling ruyi-head borders containing a ribbon-tied bouquet of peony and chrysanthemum, the cavetto and rims with a pink diaper ground and four stylised pomegranate-shaped cartouches containing further blossoming peony, the reverse with three florets in iron red.
Condition: Small chips to rim
