Description
Chinese famille verte plate, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in the centre with a jardinière containing a miniature pine tree and lingzhi fungus, surrounded by a spear-head border in gilt, the rim with four sprays of flowers.
Condition:
Small area of enamel loss to base of jardinière
Notes: European copies of these plates were made by Meissen c.1740, a Meissen plate with this decoration was sold by Bonhams, The Hoffmeister Collection of Meissen Porcelain Part Three, in 2010, lot 31.
