Pair of famille rose pug candlesticks, Jiajing (1796-1820), one decorated with hatching in iron red with black patches, the other decorated with grey hatching and grey patches, the candle holder issuing from the back, the holders decorated with ruyi-heads at the base and brightly coloured bands of stiff leaves and gilt rims, length: 19cm. (8 ½ in.) height: 11cm. 4 5/16in., condition: the darker dog with tail broken and restuck, the other with tiny frit to candle holder rim
