Description
Chinese blue and white charger, Kangxi (1662-1722), with barbed rim, decorated in underglaze blue with a central roundel containing a large lotus head amongst curling foliage, encircled by a band of ruyi-heads and two radiating bands of ogee-topped petal-shaped panels containing various flowers including chrysanthemum, dianthus, peony and prunus, against cellular diaper ground, the reverse with three fruiting sprays and a central artemisia mark within a double circle to the base.
