Description
Chinese armorial coffee cup and saucer, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and enamels in the imari palette with the arms of Walker (Argent on a chevron sable between three pellets as many crescents of the field); the central roundels surrounded by flowers and leafy branches issuing from long grass, the rims with a narrow gilt band, with the crest repeated four times of (The sun rising in clouds all proper) amongst scrolling leaves.
Dimensions:
Diameter of saucer approx. 12 cm. (4 3/4in.)
Condition:
Saucer has a faint hair-crack to the rim
