Very rare Chinese export blue and white teabowl and saucer, c.1770, both decorated with hunting hounds giving chase across a European landscape with stylised rockwork and woodland flowers; hills and a small hamlet visible in the background; the rims with narrow bands of floral cell ground and four shaped cartouches.
Diameter of saucer: 14cm. (5 1/2 in.)
Condition:
Teabowl broken and re-stuck, small chip to rim, saucer with some crackling
