Description
What an incredible watch this is, an early 1016 from 1960 with accompanying paperwork. This Explorer is one of the first very on the reference 106 with a serial starting with "51", paperwork, serial number bracelet codes all corresponding from the same era with what appears to be a Gilt 'Type 1' dial.
Ok so there are one or two points to mention, the original bracelet has had a repair or homemade additional steel bar added at some point although easily removed and it may well be that the dial ahs been relumed at some point possibly in the 80's.
Both of these can be rectified should you wish with the bar being taken off the original bracelet and the relum being removed professionally although we will leave it to the next owner to choose.
Marks and scratches clearly visible and to be expected of a watch this age.
