Rare Dutch Delft blue and white flask by Adrianus Kocks, circa 1690-1701, decorated with a pair of perching birds and another beneath them amongst flowering garlands, all beneath a band of twisting Chinese dragons; with four rope twist moulded handles and a lion mask at either side, the base with an underglaze-blue AK mark for Adrianous Kocks of De Grieksche A factory, Marks on Dutch Delt SOLD

one handle broken and re-stuck, slight rubbing to lion masks.
Provenance:
Provenance: From the Gustav Leonhardt collection, property from the Bartolotti House, Amsterdam. Leonhardt (1928-2012) was a Dutch harpsichordist, organist and conductor who was a pioneer in the world of period instrument performance and research into Baroque performance styles. Bartolottie House is a seventeenth century canal residence on the Herengracht.
