Pair of Chinese famille rose European subject plates, Qianlong (1736-95), painted in the centre with three European figures seated on stools, two of the men with glasses in their hands, while a man servant pours a drink for the third by the banks of a river overlooked by a city gate with trees and further buildings on the opposite bank, the cavetto with a grisaille and gilt band and the rim with a colourful rococo border with gilt highlights

Condition:
One with shallow chip to underside with some rubbing, the other with shallow frits to rim and hairline to base
