Description
Pair of Chinese double peacock platters, Qianlong (1736-95), of octagonal form with canted corners, decorated in overglaze polychrome enamels in the famille rose palette to the centre with a peacock and peahen perched upon rockwork in a garden setting with flowering peony within a single black line, the rim with a continuous garland of tropical flowers and scrolling foliage.

Condition:
One platter with small chip and a shallow chip to the top rim edge and the other with a firing blemish to the border, see images
