Description
Pair of Chinese blue and white teabowls and saucers, Kangxi (1662-1722), with foliate rims, the teabowls decorated to the exterior with birds and insects in flight above flowering shrubs, a band of petals encircling the footrims, the interior rims with narrow bands of geometric pattern, the saucers with further birds and insects in flight over floral garlands around central petal-encircled roundels containing prunus and a perching bird, the reverse with floral sprays and a square mark within double circles.
