Pair of Chinese blue and white canisters, 18th century, the sides with alternating ogee-shaped panels containing watery landscape scene with pagodas, bamboo, pine and distant mountains visible across a lake, a figure in the foreground fishing beside a boat, other travellers visible on a jetty and bridge; the alternate panels with bamboo and pine tree growing above a small hut with three figures in the foreground, birds flying above; the shoulders with auspicious emblems and ruyi-heads against a diaper cell ground.
