Description
Japanese Imari barber's bowl, early 18th century, Edo period, decorated to the centre with a jardinière decorated with a single lotus bloom, containing foliate peony and other flowers on a fenced terrace, the rim with three landscape cartouches containing a small dwelling amongst pine, against a dark blue ground with paris of chrysanthemum heads and foliate gilt ground.
