Description
The rotund figure seated in rajalilaasana, the pose of royal ease, wearing a cheerful expression, the robes around the shoulders and legs in a turquoise glaze, the belly, arms, and head in the biscuit, wearing a string of prayer beads and holding another in his left hand, while holding the characteristic cloth sack in the right.
PROVENANCE
An old Swedish Private Collection, some of the objects exhibited in 1985 in Borås.

Mittens Rike Exhibition, nr 567: Figurin i porslin, Pu-Tai, "barnens gud". Porslinet delvis täckt av emaljfärger, huvudsakligast i grönt, delvis i bisquit. H. 9,5 cm. Káng-hsi. Avbildas leende och med bar mage, är den 18:e Lohan i det buddhistiska figurgalleriet.
