Japanese Arita blue and white coffee pot and cover, late 17th century, of tapering conical form and supported on three feet, decorated in underglaze blue with a continuous karakusa scroll comprised of curling fronds shoots, all within narrow lines; the strap handle decorated with foliate motif and the lid surmounted by a teardrop finial.
