Etruscan, 4th - 5th Century BC.

The scarab measures 1.5 x 1cm.
The gold ring is modern.
The face of the intaglio has historical damage, however it is extremely rare to find an ancient hardstone scarab of such exceptional quality. It is clear that the sculptor devoted more care and attention to carving the scarab itself rather than its intaglio.
