An exceptional boxwood snuff box carved in relief with allegories of Summer.
Dutch, late 17th century.
Measures 7.8 x 5.5 x 2.4cm.
The lid of the box is decorated with a Bacchanalian procession and the base with a couple and their dog in a rural landscape. The sides of the box are decorated with floral swags and mascarons.
