Dutch Delft faience dish, c.1700, decorated in blue and yellow enamels with a portrait of King William of Orange between the initials ‘KW’ within concentric circles, within a patterned border of tulips; condition: some scratches to glaze, four chips and fritting to rim. Following the ‘Glorious Revolution’ of 1688 William began joint rule of England, Scotland and Ireland with his wife Mary
