Description
Chinese imari plate, Qianlong (1736-95), decorated in underglaze cobalt blue and overglaze iron red enamels to the centre with a posy of flowers, surrounded by smaller sprays, the cavetto with four floral cartouches against a diaper ground, the rim with further sprays of lotus, peony and other flowers within a narrow cross-pattern band to the rim.
