For an illustrated example of a similar jug and cover see 'Chine de Commande' from the Royal Museum of Arts and History, Brussels p.74, pl. 75. The shape of this jug is derived from a European silver or faience model. The European influence on the jug can also be seen in the garland of flowers around the rim of the jug and cover.
