Description
Chinese chrysanthemum famille-rose teapot, Yongzheng (1723-1735), decorated with panels containing chrysanthemums against dense foliate scrolling meander on a pink ground interspersed by chrysanthemum flowerheads, the straight spout decorated with iron red floral sprays, the cover moulded in the form of a flower head, the foot similarly moulded: height: 3 7/8 in. (9.5cm.) condition: chip to rim, fritting and two small chips to inner rim of cover neatly restored
