Description
Chinese Canton enamel bowl and cover, c.1800, decorated in brightly coloured enamels with four panels containing an assortment of the ‘hundred antiques’ including two bronze ritualistic vessels, coral and sceptres, interspersed by pink flowerheads against a green and blue scrolling ground, the rim with a geometric blue pattern, the lid with further panels containing antiques against a green and blue scrolling ground with flowerheads.
Diameter: 12 cm. (4 3/4in.), height: 9cm. (3 1/2in.)
Condition:
Some scratches and hairlines to the interior of the bowl and small area on the interior of the lid of the bowl with copper showing through (see image)
