Chinese biscuit stand, Kangxi (1662-1722), of rectangular form, enamelled in aubergine, green, yellow and white; one of the longer sides decorated with a diaper pattern and pierced with a cloud-shaped opening, the opposite side with a freely-painted monochrome landscape, with the moon rising above pine-covered mountains and a body of water in the foreground; the shorter sides with a pattern of stylised cloud scrolls in yellow and aubergine against a green ground
