Description
Chinese biscuit stand, Kangxi (1662-1722), of rectangular form, decorated in overglaze enamels to the body with opposing grounds of prunus on cracked ice in aubergine and butterflies amongst sprays of peony and aster; the walls pierced with a ruyi-shaped opening, the top with alternating border panels of prunus against cracked ice and flowerheads with foliate scrolls.
Height: 15.5cm. (6 1/8 in.); diameter: 23.3cm. (9 1/8 in.)
Condition: Wear to enamel, fritting to rim
