Description
Bow 'Golfer and Caddy' sauceboat, 18th century, with gently scalloped rim and applied loop handle, decorated to either side with a Chinese gentleman holding a sceptre attended by a boy carrying scrolls in his arms, in a garden setting with grasses and ferns amongst rockwork and flowering branches overhead; the interior with undulating blue band to the rim and pair of beribboned scrolls in the centre, the handle with small florets.
Length: 19.7cm. (7 3/4in.), height: 9.8cm. (3 7/8 in.)
Condition: Broken in half and restuck, rivet holes filled, frits to rim
