Description
An exceptionally fine pair of Edwardian Sapphire and Diamond drop Earrings, each comprising of a substantial Round Natural, Transparent Blue Sapphire. The Sapphires measure 7 mm. x 3.4 mm. and 7 mm. x 3.90 mm. respectively and have been assessed in their mounts as weighing approximately 3.00 Carats in total (un-weighed), with no indication of heat Treatment observed .
Each Sapphire is surrounded by a scrolling, "Millegrain" edged foliate design, containing 27 (54 in total), rub over" set "Single Cut" Diamonds of approximately 0.80 Carats (un-weighed), of F - G Colour and VS1- VS2" Clarity.
The Earrings are complete with articulated "Shepherds Crook" fittings
Accompanied by two independent Gemmologist's reports confirming the above assessment.
It should be noted the untreated Sapphires are scarce.
