Description

Of unusual form, the body high-set with an S shaped spout and shaped loop handle attaching to the elongated neck, decorated in bright shades of underglaze blue, painted in a linear style with a stylised Buddhist lion with feline features in a terraced garden below a willow tree, the neck decorated with panels enclosing flowers on a wan pattern ground, the cover similarly decorated with wan symbols, the base glazed.

Period: Wanli (1572 - 1620)
