Description
Of square section with tapering sides with a flat base and a short, flared neck, each of the four corners with decorative flanges reaching midway down the sides from the squared shoulder, enameled in the famille rose palette, one side decorated with a butterfly and large peony blooms issuing from rocks below, the further three painted with an array of flowers and rockwork, all set beneath a key-fret pattern border in blue, and above a single blue line, the flanges similarly decorated in a deep blue; a pattern of lotus scrolls in black against a light blue ground around the foot, the neck similarly decorated with scrolls against a green ground, above a single dark-pink line, the bases in a white enamel.
