Description
The ovoid body with a loop handle and straight spout, decorated in shades of underglaze blue, the body painted with a continuous scene of pagodas and temples on the rocky shores of a lake, flocks of birds in 'V' formation above, the spout and handle with moulded decoration, the mouthrim encircled by a band of intricately worked diaper, honeycomb and cods-roe patterns, set between gilt bands, the cover similarly decorated, the base glazed.
