Description

Of round form and deep bowl with a flattened foliate rim, painted in shades of underglaze blue, the central medallion decorated with auspicious objects including a double gourd and ruyi-heads, all tied with flowing ribbons, the cavetto painted with four ogival panels decorated with further auspicious objects or floral motifs and divided by narrow panels with ribboned ruyi-head extending onto the rim, the rim further painted with two tao-tieh masks and two triangular diaper sections, the underside of the rim painted with two prunus branches, the exterior bowl with four ogival panels decorated with sprays or motifs and divided by narrow segments containing a stylized lingzhi, the base glazed.
