Description
This is certainly one that you don't get to see very often, The Tudor Monte Carlo 7149/0 is an excellent example of a vintage classic and is accompanied by a Tudor wallet, manual and papers dated September 1977. The watch is provided in a later version Tudor box.
We decided to leave the watch unpolished, as we tend to do with a lot of vintage pieces. As you'd be able to see from the pictures, there are obvious signs of wear but this is something typical for a watch of such age. Performance wise, the watch functions within the industry set parameters.
The Tudor Monte Carlo, model 7149/0, features a 40mm stainless steel case, a fixed bezel with a blue tachymeter insert, a multi-colour dial predominantly featuring grey and blue around the edges, a striking orange chrono hand, 2 sub-dials positioned at 3 and 9 o'clock, a date aperture at 6 o'clock and a plexiglass.
The watch operates from a manual wind movement, caliber Valjoux 234, and is water-resistant although due to its age we'd be cautious about using it in water.
Fitted to a Rolex Oyster bracelet with rivetted links and a folding Tudor clasp.
Viewing of this wonderful timepiece is a must!
