A Tiffany & Co., Art Deco, diamond, pearl and platinum lapel pendant watch, with a diamond set platinum bar pin, with safety catch fitting, with larger diamonds in the terminals, onto a diamond set bar, superimposed with a diamond set triangle, suspending three strands of natural pearls, on individual wire links, onto a rectangular, handmade, platinum, two part watch case, with an Edwardian and eight-cut diamond set, openwork, urn design, with a flower at the top, with an eight-cut diamond surround, in grain and pavé settings, with foliate engraved sides, at the base of the pendant is the winding crown, that is rub over set with three rose-cut diamonds, the watch has a rectangular, silvered dial, signed Tiffany & Co., with black, Art Deco, script Arabic numerals, with blue steel hands, with a curved crystal, surrounded by a foliate engraved edge, with a movement signed C H Meylan circa 1925.

C H Meylan 1888 to 1960- Charles Henri Meylan, circa 1842 - 1916. famed watchmaker, from a dynasty of Swiss clockmakers. He established a brand, in Brassus, in the Vallée de Joux, in 1878, then for ten years continued to train, travel and import watches. He worked in the USA for Waltham Watch Co. He returned to Switzerland in 1888 and founded the C H Melan factory, going on to establish a branch in the United States in 1928. He contunued to collaborate with the Waltham watch Co. and held three US patents., made a name for himself by being one of the first European watchmakers to bring "complications" to to a watch in America. Selling under their own name and making for Cartier, Tiffany & Co. and Van Cleef and Arpels. Meylan movements could be found in the watches of more than 110 different jewellers His son, Max, one of seven children, took over running of the company in 1916. The company made chronographs in the 1930s but due to family conflicts the business fell apart. They continued to do business in the USA, run by A R and J E Meylan, founded in 1937. Baume and Mercier took a stake in the business but C H Meylan of Brassus closed in the 1960s.
