Description
Fine quality Stuart crystal ring, circa 1680. The high carat gold hoop has foliate black enamel shoulders and arcaded reverse filled with black and white enamel. The central compartment contains a weave of hair surmounted by two colourful enamel devices of angels holding the entwined gold initials IWTW, covered by a table-cut rock crystal. The initials are also engraved on the reverse of the ring. The ring is size M [US 6] and the crystal compartment measures 1/3 of an inch by 1/4 of an inch. In very clean, sturdy and most wearable condition.
