Russian silver tankard, Moscow, 1866 by Pavel Ovchinnikov.
Russian silver and partly gilt with a hunting scene and heavily chased with flowers and trees ornaments. The lid has a hunter and a dog on top of it.
Marked 84 Russian silver with the maker’s mark ‘PO’ in Cyrillic for Pavel Ovchinnikov.
This is one of the earliest of his works available on the market. Also, it is marked with French import marks.
