Description
Pair of rouge de fer plates, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in red enamel and gilt to the central roundel with a scene of two ladies in a moonlit rocky fenced garden with blossom and bamboo, the wide rims with intricate design comprising tulip-shaped cartouches containing jardinieres of flowers and birds perched in blossoming trees; interspersed by insects and stylised peony heads, the reverse with three floral sprays

Condition: One with shallow chip, both with slight fritting to rim
