Description

Watch: Omega Dirty Dozen WWW Military Watch c.1944
Stock Number: CHW6114
Price: £2,495.00

Part of the well know and well collected 'Dirty Dozen' collection of British military watches from WW2. The Omega being one of the 12 brands the Ministry of Defence commissioned to supply watches to be used by military personnel throughout the war.

The Omega although not the rarest of them all (thought to be 25,000 made) it is one that is becoming increasingly harder to find due to its growing popularity.

Black Matte dial with off white hour markers and track, subsidiary seconds to the bottom of the dial. As with all Dirty Dozen watches and the requirement of the MOD the black dial contrasts with the hands and hour markers to make for easy reading. Although the hands have been re-lumed it is still a worthy contestant of being in anyone's collection.

35mm stainless steel case, fixed rigid pin bars, manual wind 30T2 Caliber. Dial signed Omega with small seconds at 6 o'clock and with the MOD Broad Arrow. Caseback markings are clearly visible and show the issuing agency (military) serial as well as the manufacturer's serial number below.
