Description
Chinese imari charger, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in blue, red enamel and gilt with a central jardinière containing fruiting boughs in a fenced garden, the cavetto and rim with a meandering foliate scroll and large peony heads, set with four leaf-shaped cartouches containing landscape scenes with a pagoda amongst fruit trees and mountains in the distance, alternating with four roundels containing foliage and fruit.
