Description
Chinese famille verte moulded dish, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated to the central roundel with a dignitary seated within a rock garden before a screen painted with a mountainous landscape, attended by two guards and a scholar who has presented him with a wrapped gift; the cavetto with landscape panels against a floral green stippled ground with the four flowers of the seasons, the rim with four cartouches containing scholarly objects against a ground of red scrolls; the reverse with three floral sprays and central artemisia leaf within concentric circles.

Condition: Broken in half and neatly restored
