Chinese famille verte jar and cover, Kangxi (1662-1722), decorated in fine enamels with two central panels containing brightly coloured peony and grass seed heads issuing from rockwork and insects, surrounded by butterflies and floral sprays, the lid decorated with two further floral panels with butterflies, daisies and chrysanthemum, the lid surmounted by knop with chrysanthemum design.
