Description
Chinese blue and white circular box and cover, Kangxi (1662-1722), the flat-topped cover with a central roundel containing an archaic zun-form jardinière decorated with artemisia leaves and holding floral sprays, surrounded by other ritual vessels and precious objects including an axe and ruyi-head sceptre, the sides of the cover and base decorated with scrolling blooms of chrysanthemum, peony and orchid, the base with double circle. Offered subject to being available.
Diameter: 11.5cm. (4 1/2in.)
Condition: Small chip to rim of base, cover slightly larger than base.
