A Very Rare Victorian Parcel-Gilt Silver And champleve enamel bowl, Charles Edwards London, 1883.
The enameled scene and figures on this bowl are after illustrations by Sir John Gilbert RA (1817-1897) which were created for the edition of ‘As You Like It, Act 2nd Scene 4th’ from Shakespeare.
There is a very similar piece that was sold in Sotheby’s Lot 19 on the 30th January 2024.
