Description
A fine 18 Carat Yellow Gold (worn marks) Garnet and Natural Pearl Mourning ring, with a closed back set oblong Garnet, surrounded by (8) Cut Out Collet set Natural Pearls, with (3) further and similarly set Pearls to each shoulder (12) Natural Pearls in total, supported on either side by a finely carved Foliate style split shank.
The "cut out" settings of this ring are an exceptional example of their type.
Inscribed 'Maria Eliza Taylor 4th of November 1825".
