Description
A Victorian oval diamond openwork brooch, with a centre cluster, set with a cushion shaped old-cut diamond, surrounded by old-mine cut diamonds, in claw settings, enclosed by four trefoils, set with old-mine cut diamonds, in grain settings, over an old-cut diamond set scalloped surround, with rose-cut diamonds set between, forming a border and a single, claw set, old-cut diamond above and below and clusters either side, with cushion shaped old-cut diamonds in the centre, in claw settings, surrounded by rose-cut diamonds, mounted in silver-upon-gold, English circa 1875. With a probably later pin, with roller catch fitting.
The approximate total carat weight of the diamonds is 5.00ct. In our opinion the colour range is H to J and our opinion of the clarity is SI.
