A wonderful example of what is a rare reference Vacheron Constantin as this is a quartz battery powered movement house in the 37mm stainless steel case. The 72040/423A has just a limited production run hence why very few are seen available for sale.
A stainless-steel case and original bracelet that has the hidden fold clasp with the Vacheron Symbol clearly visible. Originally waterproof to 150 meters we have tested to only 50 meters. The Quartz movement is in excellent working order throughout with the case having been recently polished and defying its years as we believe the watch to be from 2001.
Presented as a watch on its own (hence the price) we do include a 12-month guarantee, insured shipping and a copy of the watch register certificate.
Sapphire scratch resistant crystal over an of white / cream coloured dial which has beautifully naturally coloured over the years with silver baton hour markers to match the hands. Date window at 3.
Our View – A phenomenal price for any Vacheron Constantin let alone a rare reference one. Don’t be swayed by the Quartz movement this is a fine looking watch and one that is exceptionally accurate.
