Description
A rare ,exceptional quality Sterling silver Bacchus wine jug.
With hand chased and engraved scenes of the wine harvest ,a large eagle claw handle and a Bacchus poring spout.
This jug was crafted by Edward & Joseph Mappin (Later became the famous Mappin Bros).
Dated London 1864.
The jug is in pristine condition.
Measures: 36cm tall ,the base is 19.5cm in diameter.
