Rare Japanese bronze group of Buddha holding a child with a peach in its hand, late 18th century, standing upon an upturned lotus flower which is placed on an inscribed octagonal base; one of the inscriptions is a temple dedication, another dates the piece to the Edo period of Kansei (1789-1801); while another names the four donors.
